The following are some of our most frequently asked questions. If your question is not listed below, please contact us directly.
We do not mail tickets to you. Instead, the email confirmation we send is your tour ticket - don't delete it! However, if you misplace your confirmation email, use your last name as the reservation number.
We highly recommend you arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time to ensure your reservation is honored. You have up to ten (10) minutes before the scheduled departure time to ensure your seat on the tour. Ten (10) minutes before the departure time, we note outstanding reservations as "no shows." If we have walk-up passengers, they will be given a ticket and will be boarded at this time.
We use 35-passenger luxury tour buses for our daily public bus tours. Private tours are scheduled on variety of different tour vehicles depending on the group size. We do our best to keep large, same-party groups together on the same bus. We reserve the right to substitute our small-capacity tour buses with larger 55-passenger buses, depending upon demand and/or our tour schedule. The 55-passenger buses have bathrooms on board for your convenience.
Unfortunately, our buses are not wheelchair accessible, nor is there storage for baby strollers. If you have a wheelchair, please call us to make special vehicle arrangements for your tour. Some of our tours involve longer walks so if you like, you may stay on board the shuttle, near the landmark, without exiting the shuttle bus every time.
Kids under 12 receive USA Guided Tour's discounted children's price (varies with tours). Children under 3 years old ride for free, if they are able to be held in their parents' lap during the tour. If you would rather have a separate seat for your infant, you may purchase a child's discounted ticket.
Tips are not included in the tour ticket price. We do ask that you consider tipping your tour guide and driver. The standard tipping rate is 15%, or $8 - $10 per individual.
Our shuttle buses and vans do not have storage for accommodating carry-on bags. We ask that you only bring purses, briefcases, or backpacks for your tour; Please note that USA Guided Tours reserves the right to inspect any bags, book bags, briefcases or backpacks you carry.
The good news is, you can wait until you arrive to Boston to get tickets for any of our tours and activities; however, many of our tours are in high demand and you run a chance of your preferred tour being sold out, therefore, we recommend booking well in advance as we would hate to have you miss out due to booked tours.
We understand things come up, so we will happily change your date or time as long as we have availability. If you must make a change, please contact us. However, please be aware that some of our tours cannot be amended once you have booked them as a part of a package. This includes tours that have a hotel stay or rail tickets and transportation service attached. Please read your voucher carefully to see if your booked tour is one that cannot be changed once it's reserved.
It depends on the stop. Your tour guide will tell you the planned amount of time for each stop. We have allowed enough time on every stop for you to walk around and take plenty of pictures!

However, if you booked a private tour with us, this service is available to you.
- If you cancel at least 4 calendar days in advance of your tour departure time, a 100% refund will be issued.
- If you cancel between 48 hours and 4 calendar days in advance of your tour departure time, a 50% refund will be issued.
- If you cancel within 48 hours in advance of your tour departure time, no refund will be issued.
Note: if the Tour Booking Insurance has been purchased, cancellations may be made up to 1 hour prior to tour departure time for a 100% refund.
